Quite true. I never thought about it that way, but the race has been with us forever in some form or another.

I've never been a race fan, so my distant perspective is that of circular vehicular motion with explosive termination. However, when I accidentally watch a race, I find myself oddly enthralled. There is a fair amount of subtlety and depth to the sport that I find fascinating.

And the BOOMING and flaming is a nice bonus. Now only if boobs were inserted as well.
