I believe he had more than one system linked up. The small one was a very small moog with a keyboard--it really did look like a minimoog. The large one was in a separate area and had tons of cables and dials.

Interviews with Joey Karam seem to indicate that he favors vintage synth. Whether he's using actual vintage stuff or simply has retro style gear is another story.
