Tom Waits!

Assuming the magic elves responsible for crafting and transmitting the tickets to my mailbox are not three sheets to the wind in Copenhagen, the wife and I will have an evening with Tom Waits in Asheville. August 2.

!!!

I'm running out of must-see music acts. What's left? It just might be time to rent a suite of rooms and hang myself from the balcony irons after this show.

(of course I know there are some Waits haters out there who'd rather hang themselves than listen to him. but I thank you for not being in front of me in the ticketmaster queue. i'm pretty sure this show sold out in less than 30 minutes)

oh, i'm terribly jealous! i was even planning to spend a night in asheville august 2nd, on the way home from visiting family in nashville (till i gave up & decided to fly). how'd i miss that one?

you & krasota have a great time in ashville. check out the laughing seed for lunch or dinner (mmm... tasty!). or there's a small diner just a couple doors down from the laughing seed that i can't remember the name of that we really wish we'd tried.

note to self: must make friends with magic elves!

(forgive me, i'm brain fogged today & can't seem to post properly)

Laughing Seed looks promising! So few restaurants serve food with whole grains. If we can get them to make something without soy for Krasota we'll probably try there for lunch before we head home the day after the show.
