A very surreal moment: While taking my afternoon walk on this blustery winter day, the ground still wet with melting snow, a tumbleweed rolls past me down the driveway.

That dead plant really is one of the best gifts I've received.

Wow. I'd actually forgotten about "disco weed." Thanks for the memory. Alas, since we moved to the country, the tumbleweed has been able to fulfill it's original purpose of blowing around, rather than becoming an apartment-bound decoration.
