They say, "If you love something, set it free."

Our precious tumbleweed has finally flown the coop. Yesterday's wind carried it out of the yard. Perhaps even now it is rolling down the street, seeking its fortune. Of course, we were looking for it on the ground. Perhaps it's stuck in a tree like a kitten. If so, I intend to call the fire department to get it down. Or maybe it was on the ground and I just couldn't see it because my glasses are so scratched I wander around seeing the world as if I were wearing goggles full of spoiled milk.

Fare ye well, tumbleweed.

I had a "vicious fish" once. I used to have a Piranha. And it jumped out the tank, too. No one convinced it that it was a good idea...the critter was terrified by me. Yes, piranhas are apparently classic bullies. They're mean when you get them together in a big group, but when you isolate them and confront them when they're alone, they're very scared. At least that's my experience with the one I kept. He'd freak out every time I got near the tank. And one day it shot straight out of the tank, through a small gap in the hood. He lived for a little while after that.

Believe me, the fish was scared. It was not trying to leap from the tank to eat me.
