"Barf" is a word that should be in the vocabulary of every technical writer.

Every technical writer, who must deal with writing books about Microsoft products. So should "BSOD" for that matter.

Then again, I'd rather see the word "barf" than see "$string("Hello world!")" or "foo" or "bar" or any varient of FUBAR... I'm going to beat someone with a dead cow if I have to read another programming book with those examples.
