ExplodingCat Sings
I recently found my cache of musical experiments and film soundtrack songs I did a few years ago. Several burned CDs of music and random noise. Listen quietly to the musical version of my live journal.

btw, I 've been busy so I haven't had a chance to get back to your last comments, so here goes: The songs are pretty cool ... you're way ahead of me so far! The Waves website is www.waves.com. Just be sure you're sitting down when you view the pricing... And I guess 'cold' is okay for synths, but unless I'm going for a certain effect, I'd want all my live instruments/voices to have that warm feel, but you're absolutely right ... it's a preference thing.
Whew!

Thanks, I appreciate the brief but positive feedback on my tracks. I may be ahead of you, but I still think you're a better performer than I am. Maybe that's why I like the "cold" sound, because I tend to be a really sloppy performer, so I like the precision digital music allows me to achieve.

Actually, my performance skills aren't that great anymore. I hardly play my violin anymore, so that's not as good as it used to be; the guitar is just plain *hard*, man ... it's way too easy to flub things up, plus I never practice with a metronome, so I'm probably even worse than I'm aware; and my keyboarding is sadly out of practice. About the only thing I feel really good at anymore is singing, and that's a day-to-day thing whether or not it's 'there'. Plus I seriously need some formal voice lessons to make sure I'm not going to end up with nodes; I know already that I've hurt my voice a little.
That's the nice thing about having your own digital project studio. You have all the time in the world to get things just right. :)

Seriously, I am in awe of true classical guitarists that can actually play straight from a G clef and play real classical music on a guitar. That takes real discipline. No pressure though. ;)
