I recently found my cache of musical experiments and film soundtrack songs I did a few years ago. Several burned CDs of music and random noise. Listen quietly to the musical version of my live journal.

You gotta practice some more! I know...you need more time, too. Yeah, suspect my keyboard skills have diminished. I don't play that every day like I used to. I try to work on the guitar a little bit every day. I don't feel so bad about missing notes if you also find it very easy to flub things up on guitar. I hear it's much easier playing electric guitar. So, if we do a decent job on the acoustic, electric should be simple. Voice lessons: That's still on my list of things to do.

Yeah, electric guitar doesn't seem to require nearly as much of a firm touch on the fretboard ... a light touch is enough, and that does seem to make getting around easier. Plus, if you've got the distortion way up you can play stuff wrong and have it still sound pretty good. But if you want to do serious shredding like Yngwie, Satriani, or any of them, you still gotta have mad skillz.

Seriously, I am in awe of true classical guitarists that can actually play straight from a G clef and play real classical music on a guitar. That takes real discipline. No pressure though. ;)

Heh. Yeah. I'm awed my true classical guitarists, too. I figure if I practice enough at classical guitar and become reasonable good at it, when I finally turn to rock music on an electric...it'll be a piece of cake.
