I've seen the Light, and it's angry!

[livejournal.com profile] nothinggoth blessed me with 4 CDs. Three albums by the ministers of the bacchanalian techno orgy "Weekend". Scooter is well known (or should be) for being upon the mic as the teacher and spreading words like a preacher, while several nude women writhe around to the beat of the sermon.

What about the fourth CD, you ask? I suspect NothingGoth was appealing to my appreciation for bombastic symphonic metal. However, I believe the Savior Machine album was also offered as a way to balance the combined weight of moral depravity exerted by 3 Scooter CDs. Savior Machine is an apocalyptic ultra-christian gothic metal band famous for its 4-CD opera interpretation of the book of Revelation.

I have heard the message. And I believe. I exposed myself to all kinds of christian gothic propaganda and came away with this message: The President is the Anti-Christ.

Wait a minute...I already believed that before I was saved by Christians wearing eye-makeup. At least someone sees the truth.

OK. Time to watch that "Weekend" music video with all the naked people again.

Heheh, I'm glad you enjoyed the CD's. While certainly a good secondary assumption on the purpose of the Saviour Machine disc, your first guess was pretty dead on. :] Bush is certainly the Anti-Christ though, and if it's not him, then it's going to be whoever wins the next election, and if not that guy... well, you know... etc... But the big question is, did you dig the music?

Umm, yeah... and now, a bit of Scooter lyric that I don't think you've heard. Zebras, oh yeah baby... striped wonders of nature.

"Stop the trouble, open your mind
Is this the life you want to live
Clear up your mind, zebras crossing the street
Loosing control, everything is in your hand
Running around, down the street
Buying some frozen food, put it in the fridge
Turn up the music louder
"

Over and out.
