Whether you like it or not, Hedwig...

The first Hedwig show in front of a live audience was fun. It's hard to believe I get to do this eighteen more times this month. It's going to feel very weird returning to normal life after this show is done, but at least I'll be able to keep up with all the dirty dishes in our sink.

Aside from the several microphones dying and the puddle of beer blessing my feet, I feel the show went well. It could have been worse. My electric piano could have fallen out of tune. Three days before the show, the piano wouldn't turn on. The power button was busted from too much abuse over the decade plus years I've used this keyboard. We had emergency service done at Stacy's music, where the switch was rebuilt. The next day, I turn the piano on and start playing. My Electric piano started falling out of tune like a bad acoustic instrument! We plugged a guitar tuner into it and watched as the signal wobbled all over, unable to maintain a consistent note. Somewhere, somehow, the rear of the instrument got banged, smashing a tiny tuning knob that can adjust a half step up or down. It did enough damage to make the knob useless and render the internal parts broken enough destroy the proper playback of the piano tone samples. So, I rushed it back to Stacy's music where they fixed it free of charge, no questions asked.

LiveArts should be reimbursing me for the cost of the first repair. So, I'm glad it broke during this show.

I am so looking forward to seeing it. I was working at atomic last night, and good grief...it was like a never ending stream of people.

Continued good fortune, and I'll see you from the seats!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. Dude, I am so about to take my keys to Stacy's....

Atomic must do very well on the show nights at LiveArts. LiveArts is buying me a burrito for dinner on these weekend shows, although I think a producer is running down to get the stuff for take out. I won't be sitting at the bar in full make-up, as much as I'd like to do that.

Can you give me a list of the show's dates? Or point me in the direction of a website. Since I'm not in Ch'ville I don't know where to look...

I really want to come see your show, Jay might not be able to, he's in Florida for the next two weeks, but I'd love to come watch one night!

*hugs* I'm glad you got the keyboard fixed (AND they're reimbursing you!)

Look at my previous post here in LJ. I listed all the dates and times. It might be wise to call ahead and ask them to reserve a seat for you, since you have to travel to get here. I'd hate for you to show up and find it sold out. This weekend, we're moving tickets very fast. Box office is 434 977 4177, ext 108. Someone is only guaranteed to be there from 11:30am - 1:30 pm, but sometimes the guy who works that phone is there other hours.

I don't know how I missed that entry, but obviously I did! :/ I haven't been keeping up with LJ as much as I thought! Anyway, thanks again for the info! I will try my best to make it up in the next week! Regardless, I will be up to see it! I'll definitely call ahead!
