Perhaps somewhere in between. Wasn't quite a splorch...but it was certainly a one syllable sound. So, if you can pronounce ka-thwap in a single syllable...that might be it. Also quite interesting...the shell remained stuck to the tree for entire day. It probably would have stayed there longer, but I didn't want the tree to be standing there with egg on its face any longer.
