Finally, at home. Way too late. But a rare opportunity to hang out with the band is to blame. Blixa Bargeld is a very charming, nice guy. He talks. A lot. With very little prodding, he began talking as soon as he joined the small group of fans. A constant stream of words occasionally broken by questions from fans that would only encourage more words. He signed CDs and sipped red wine. Andrew Chudy, The Beer Fairy. Giddy and fluttering about giving away beer. Likely, he was more than happy to give it away, because it was Budweiser with a screw off cap. But I accepted the offer. I talked shop with their keyboard/sampler guy, Ash Wednesday. Exchanged a few words with Alexander Hacke. Did not have much contact with the others beyond a requisite CD signing. A pleasant, informal gathering. A generous opportunity. Good god the sun is rising.

Date: 2004-04-24 03:32 pm (UTC)Yes, it was a supporter's gathering. The rules were somewhat inconsistent about the number of people, but I think the venue ultimately decided on the limit. At our show, it was each supporter plus one guest that could meet with them. Did you ever get blixa23's situation sorted out with his supporter membership?
