I'm Gonna Love You 'Til the Wheels Fall Off

For what it's worth, I don't care what people post in their LiveJournals. I've always viewed my friends list as a window into other people's lives, rather than a regular stream of unexpected solicitors knocking on my own door. So, if I'm sitting back and peering through your window with my binoculars and see something I don't like...I move on to another window.

The only thing that does bug me is when someone posts a giant image twice the size of my (both metaphorical and literal) window. It's like having a demolition crew redesign my room without asking. But, it's not a chronic problem and the image eventually goes away.

Unrelated thing: Did anyone prank call me with their vacuum cleaner this morning? Or maybe their garbage disposal? I loved it. Perhaps a cell phone was unlocked and accidentally called me while its owner was cleaning his or her room with a lawn mower.

i *did* get a new vacuum cleaner last night... perhaps it got lonely?

lol.

I'll have to come over and meet it. It did sound kinda cute.

Here here as always. I'm with you on the live/life journal thing. I typed up a huge post that I was going to cut to be polite and then said "screw it" and deleted it. Of course I felt better after I typed it up, even if I didn't post it.

Uh, even though I know you're busy with other reads at the moment, I did bring the book I thought you'd most enjoy with me to Ch'ville on the way to Bowie, unfortunately because I'm so forgetful, it's been sitting in the trunk of my car ever since. Well, that way with it in the car already, I wont' forget it at the house again ;) So this weekend, I'll deliver it to Brian on the way up to Erica's wedding so he can then deliver it to you. It's a really good book (er books 3 in one ;)) and I think you'll enjoy it, of course it's okay if it takes you a couple of months to get to it, no hurry. =D I'm sure I'll see you again ;)

*hugs*

Thanks! 3 books? Yeah, that'll take some time. I might read other stuff in between them. But I'll try to get to them. They will be inserted 3rd on my current pending list, after the Book of Leviticus and The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

Have you come across these clauses in Leviticus yet?

If thou dost read from the Book of Leviticus on the Sabbath day with scholarly intent, it is work, and thou hast sinned against G-d.

If thou dost amuse thyself by watching the actions of the felines of the Lord after providing them with potent herbs, thou hast sinned.

The Lord is offended by graven images, but most of all of images depicting the marriage between virtuous maidens and the tentacled ones of the ocean deep.

Indeed, I have not! I will be paying close attention. I just got through most of the sacrifice laws. Seems like there's a lot of reasons one might need to slaughter an animal. I'm thinking God created a zoo in heaven and needs to fill it with animal spirits.

People mostly sacrifice goats, sheep, and cattle - usually bulls. Not much of a zoo, but it'd make a well-populated heavenly farm.

Don't forget the turtledoves. Poor people gotta be able to sacrifice something.

That's what all the children are for. Explains why poor people breed so much.

Ok, this theory only works for Baal worshippers, but I like it anyway. It leads to blackened baby sandwiches.

I have many posts that I delete as you mentioned.

I've also started editing, deciding I want to delete posts about 15 mins after I put them up. I guess i'm just "special" like that.

hahah, I've done that recently. after coming home from Bowie I was sooo tired I just posted a really really tired-silly post and the next day re-read over it and decided it HAD to be edited b/c I read like a 5 year old. Normally if I'm really passionate about something I'm writing about on LJ, that's when I start editing, and as soon as that happens, I'll just very well say "fuck it" and delete it. If I want to just go ahead and post it, I can't edit or else I'll just delete.

I second guess myself a lot it sucks sometimes...
